Kids' Camp Number TWO!!

We had a great week of Kids' Camp last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.  Even though we had crazy hot weather our friends from Emmanuel Baptist Church put on a wonderful camp.  The kids learned a lot and had a great time!

Join us for tea...

This Friday night the Bhutanese Ministry at Mission Adelante is having a tea to share with our friends what God is doing in KCK.  We hope you will join us and learn about the different ways to partner with us!

fun fourth

Mission Adelante had our trimester break this past week.  Even though we were on break we still had a pretty busy week.  Last Tuesday night the Missional Family I belong to helped to move 2 of the Bhutanese families on pretty short notice.  I am so thankful for these people and the role that they play in my life and the lives of my Bhutanese friends.  My dad also came down to help with one of the moves, I love serving with him and getting the chance to introduce him to my friends.

On Friday night my mom's extended family got together.  Both of my mom's sisters and her brother were in town, along with most of my cousins.  This rarely happens because we are all spread out over 5 different states.  It was great to get to share a meal with them and be family.

On Saturday morning we went to the park/spray park in our neighborhood.  It was great to hang out with some of the kids outside of a program, summer has been so busy that I haven't had a lot of time to do that.

This was my first fourth living in KCK.  All of the cities I have lived in before have had fireworks ordinances.  KCK does not, they don't have any so it sounds like a warzone.  I am amazed I slept at all. I'll leave you with this, taken from my front porch.
